All the information you need for a relaxing visit

General rules for children

Children up to 14 years
Children are allowed to use the thermal spa including the infinity rooftop pool daily from 09:00 to 17:00 when accompanied by a person of full age.

Eating and drinking
The consumption of food and drinks brought in is not permitted anywhere in the complex. Eating and drinking is only permitted in the Bistro and only the products we propose.

Cloakrooms
Please use our lockers for your valuables and clothes. Please keep the cloakrooms clean and tidy.

SPA etiquette
The spa is a place of peace and relaxation. Out of consideration for the other guests, please talk to your child quietly and in a reserved manner. Shouting, splashing, diving and running around are not permitted.

Showers
Showering for children and adults is compulsory before each bath. Some children do not like to shower. Keep your child close to you, avoid the shower spray directly above the child's head and wet the child with both hands.

Diapering and nappies
Please change your child on the changing table in the cloakroom. Please dispose of used nappies in one of the plastic bags found by the sink. Dress your child in a suitable swimming nappy for the course. Swim nappies are available from us at the main reception or from the major retailers.

Use of utensils
The use of water toys such as balls, fins and diving goggles is not permitted.

Deposit of prams
Prams may be left at the main reception. It can not be left in the cloakrooms.

Bistro

In our bistro-lounge, you will find an ever-fresh selection of various hot and cold treats as well as choice drinks. The perfect conclusion to a perfect day at the spa. You can pay for your drinks without cash charging your badge.

The wellness dress code

Visitors to the Hürlimannbad & Spa are only permitted to wear normal swimwear*. Wearing underwear under swim shorts is not permitted for reasons of hygiene.

* Standard swimwear includes swimming costumes, bikinis, tankinis, burkinis, swimming trunks or swimming shorts specially designed for use in the water. Swimwear not mentioned above is not permitted.

Health issues

Our thermal water is rich in minerals and has a therapeutic effect on mind, body and soul. In some cases, however, we do not recommend visiting our facilities, for instance if you suffer from the following:

  • Acute skin inflammation (eczema)
  • Acute joint inflammation
  • Severe varicose veins
  • Open wounds
  • Recent surgery
  • Pregnancy up to week 12 and from week 33

Please inform our team of other issues such as allergies, accidents, injuries or other treatment that may affect your visit to our facilities.

Information for pregnant women

Warm mineral or thermal waters soothe the entire body – making this a relaxing experience for pregnant women, too. How your body reacts to hot water during pregnancy may vary. We therefore ask you to consult your doctor in advance.

Massages during pregnancy:

  • We do not offer any massages up to week 12 of your pregnancy for health and safety reasons.
  • From week 13 of your pregnancy, we are happy to offer you our massage services.
  • We do not offer the exfoliating massage and the foam massage during pregnancy as it is not suitable for pregnant women.

Children at Hürlimannbad & Spa Zurich

Children aged one and above can visit the thermal spa accompanied by an adult – this rule applies up to age 15. Children enjoy reduced entry prices.

Admission to the Roman-Irish spa ritual is permitted from age 16.

Massage for minors

  • No massages for children and young people under the age of 16.
  • From the age of 16, massages only when accompanied by an adult.
  • From the age of 18, massages unaccompanied by an adult.

Massage for people with disabilities

  • Mental impairment: massage only with an accompanying person
  • Physical limitation: massage without an accompanying person (provided that the person can get onto the massage table independently).

You want to enjoy the day to the fullest... or you forgot something at home? You can rent swimwear, bathrobes and towels from us.

  • Bath towel CHF 5 (+ CHF 20 deposit)
  • Bathrobe CHF 9 (+ CHF 20 deposit)
  • Swimwear CHF 7 (+ CHF 20 deposit)
  • Bathing set (bathrobe, bath towel and bathing dress) CHF 19 (+ CHF 50 deposit)
  • Private dressing room (from 16 years, only bookable on site) CHF 10 (+ CHF 50 deposit)

Booking and waiting times

Book your admission to the thermal spa and/or the Roman-Irish spa ritual online now - without treatments or massages. Please note that reserved admissions cannot be refunded or postponed. 

If the day you want is no longer available, all online tickets have already been sold. However, you have the option of purchasing tickets directly on site. Waiting times may occur on busy days.

For day spa packages, treatments and massages, we recommend that you book an appointment well in advance.

On-site shop

In our on-site shop, you can buy numerous care and wellness products that we use for treatments, for the wellness oasis in your own four walls. Also ideal as a gift for your loved ones. Our staff will be happy to advise you.

Special rules of admission

The Roman-Irish spa ritual is reserved for women on the first Tuesday of each month. Men have no access to the spa area and no treatments or massages are available.

Lost wristband

If you lose your wristband, we will need to charge you CHF 50 each time for resolving the issue. You get your money back if the lost item is found.

Waiting times

On weekends and during the holiday season there may be longer waiting times, especially from 12:00 AM and until 6:00 PM, so we recommend that you visit us before lunchtime or towards the evening if possible.
If you have opted for a package, we guarantee admission before your first treatment.
